Auvers-sur-Oise :
 This
charming village north-east from Paris looks back on a prestigious
artistic past when landscape and impressionist painters lived
here.
The most famous one of these artists is undoubtebly Vincent
van Gogh whose tomb we will see during our walking-tour through
the winding streets of this picturesque village.
Other attractive sites in Auvers-sur-Oise are the small but
interesting "Musée de l'Absinthe", the house of Daubigny and
the Château d'Auvers with its audio-visual experience devoted
to Impressionism. |
