La Conciergerie :
 Anciently
part of the Capetian royal castle, the Conciergie became "waiting
room" for the guillotine under French Revolution. The impressive
gothic vaults shelter the huge hall of the "gens d'armes" and
the kitchens.
Following the "Rue de Paris" and the prisoners' gallery, we
take you to the cell of Marie Antoinette, the reconstitutions
of different jails and the Girondins' Chapel. |
